Please read on for a full description of the type of person we are looking for.

Cherry Creek is looking for positive, social, motivated, energetic, creative and detail-oriented people who are
either:

1) Experienced loan officers closing a minimum of $1 million a month. (If you fit this description, please skip
the following section and click here..)
2) A loan officer just beginning his/her career.
3) A loan processor who wants to advance his/her career, click here.
4) A loan officer candidate - a person who believes he/she fits the profile outlined below.

A) A loan officer just beginning his/her career who has not yet found their niche or who has not been receiving
adequate support to make his/her career blossom. Many new loan officers flounder and often leave the
business not because they don't have the skills and tenacity to become successful, but rather due to the
fact that they've received insufficient training, little or no marketing support or a combination of these two factors.

B) An individual interested in a career as a loan officer.

If you are a motivated person who is struggling as a new loan officer or are just interested in becoming successful faster, call Tom Wardrope today at (800) 325-2062 x 1125 for a confidential interview.

What a loan officer does:

Builds relationships with real estate agents and/or builders who refer leads or actual loans to the loan
officer. To do this successfully, the loan officer must possess the discipline and willingness to cold call and     prospect. Outside sales and relationship-building skills are the key to success.

Prequalifies prospects, follows up on leads, takes loan applications and assists borrowers in determining which     loan program best suits both their short-term and long-term financial goals.

A typical day (when a loan officer is producing 3 to 5 loans a month) might look something like this:

8:00 AM to 10:00 AM: In office doing loan set-up, following up on files, and returning phone calls.

10:00 AM to 3:00 PM: Prospecting by calling on real estate offices or interviewing REALTORS or builders.

3:00 PM to 5:00 PM: In office doing paperwork, planning the next day, fielding phone calls or prequalifying buyers.

5:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Taking loan applications or prequalifying buyers.

YES - It is a 10 to 12 hour-a-day career and you do have to work evenings. However, you set your schedule, and, if you know how to work smarter, not harder, you can often reduce the hours significantly.

What Characteristics Must a Good Loan Officer Have?

Self-disciplined
Proactive
Drive to succeed
Powerful work ethic
Passion for excellence and customer service
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow through
Desire to build relationships and people-oriented
Ability and willingness to work on commission

A lack of two or more of these characteristics may seriously hinder a person's likelihood of success in the
mortgage business.
